This website is operated by Jacob Oliva Ceramics. Throughout these Terms, the words "we", "us" and "our" refer to Jacob Oliva Ceramics.

By visiting our website, browsing our products, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website.

2. ELIGIBILITY

By using this website and placing an order, you confirm that:

3. PRODUCTS

All ceramic pieces sold by Jacob Oliva Ceramics are handmade.

Due to the handmade nature of our work, slight variations in:

  • colour

  • glaze finish

  • texture

  • dimensions

  • shape

  • pattern

are normal and should not be considered defects.

We make every effort to display products accurately. However, colours may vary depending on your screen settings and device.

All product descriptions, prices and availability are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right to discontinue products at any time.

Unless otherwise stated, decorative pieces are intended for decorative use only. Functional tableware should be used in accordance with any care instructions provided.


4. ORDERS

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase a product.

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your order. This does not mean your order has been accepted.

A contract between you and Jacob Oliva Ceramics is formed only when your order has been dispatched.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where:

  • Products are unavailable.

  • Pricing errors have occurred.

  • Fraudulent activity is suspected.

  • We are unable to obtain payment authorisation.

If an order is cancelled after payment has been taken, a full refund will be issued.


5. PRICING AND PAYMENT

All prices displayed on this website are in GBP (£).

Prices include VAT where applicable.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and shown before payment is completed.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and cancel orders affected by obvious pricing mistakes.

Payment must be received in full before goods are dispatched.


6. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

We aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on each product listing.

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • postal services

  • courier companies

  • customs processing

  • severe weather

  • strikes

  • events outside our reasonable control

Ownership of goods passes to you once payment has been received in full.

Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or a person identified by you.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and, where practical, within 48 hours of delivery. This helps us investigate shipping damage quickly and does not affect your statutory rights.


7. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Customers outside the United Kingdom may be responsible for:

  • customs duties

  • import taxes

  • local handling fees

  • other charges imposed by their country

These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in our prices unless explicitly stated.


8. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL (UK CONSUMERS)

If you are purchasing as a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods without giving a reason.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us by email at:

You must return the goods within 14 days of informing us of your decision to cancel.

Returned items must be:

  • unused

  • in their original condition

  • securely packaged

Unless the item is faulty or supplied incorrectly, you are responsible for return postage costs.

Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving proof that they have been returned.

Exceptions

The right to cancel does not apply to:

  • custom-made items

  • personalised items

  • commissioned work created specifically for you

where permitted by law.


9. FAULTY OR DAMAGED ITEMS

Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where appropriate, we will offer:

  • a repair

  • a replacement

  • a refund

in accordance with your statutory rights.

We may request photographs or further information before resolving a claim.


10. CUSTOM ORDERS AND COMMISSIONS

Where we accept commissions or custom orders:

  • Full payment or a deposit may be required before work begins.

  • Design details must be agreed before production starts.

  • Handmade variations are part of the finished piece.

  • Deposits are generally non-refundable once work has commenced.

  • Custom and commissioned items cannot usually be cancelled or returned unless faulty.

Additional terms may be agreed in writing for specific commissions.


11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on this website, including:

  • photographs

  • product images

  • logos

  • artwork

  • text

  • graphics

  • designs

is owned by or licensed to Jacob Oliva Ceramics and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit any content without our prior written permission.


12. USER CONTENT AND FEEDBACK

If you submit reviews, comments, photographs, feedback or other content to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display that content for marketing and business purposes.

You confirm that any content you submit:

  • is your own or you have permission to use it;

  • does not infringe third-party rights;

  • is not unlawful, defamatory or offensive.

We reserve the right to remove content at our discretion.
